Herotel is looking to appoint a Technical Assistant to assist technicians with installations, troubleshooting and maintenance of fibre and wireless internet systems.

Requirements
Matric (Grade 12)
Basic computer skills
Good working knowledge of hand and power tools
Self-disciplined, motivated and organised
Reliable, punctual and presentable
Ability to follow instructions and work within a team
Physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions
Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
Willingness to work overtime when required
Previous experience in a similar technical environment will be advantageous
Responsibilities
Assist with site surveys and signal testing
Support installation of fibre and wireless equipment
Assist with cable runs, brackets and mounting hardware
Assist with repairs and troubleshooting callouts
Ensure tools, equipment and vehicle stock are organised and maintained
Remove and recover equipment when required
Maintain safe working practices and follow health and safety procedures
