Bona Bona Game Lodge is seeking a professional, friendly and well-presented Hostess to join the team. The ideal candidate should enjoy working with guests, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and supporting smooth front-of-house operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests on arrival and create a positive first impression
- Manage reservations and guest seating to ensure smooth table flow
- Provide accurate waiting time updates and manage the waiting area
- Answer telephone queries regarding the lodge and restaurant
- Maintain knowledge of menu items and be able to assist with guest questions
- Ensure the host stand and surrounding areas remain clean and organised
- Support wait staff during busy periods (such as refilling beverages or clearing tables)
- Handle guest concerns politely and professionally
Key Skills & Qualities:
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organisational and multitasking ability
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods
- Familiarity with reservation or point-of-sale systems is an advantage
